J'khand CM inaugurates proj worth Rs 40.77 cr in Littipara

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today laid the foundation stone for developmental projects worth Rs 240.44 crore and inaugurated projects worth Rs 40.77 crore in Littipara in the state's Santhal Pargana region.
"Today is an important day for the Santhal Pargana region, specially for Littipara as foundation stone for Rs 217 crore worth multi-village water supply project has been laid," the Chief Minister said.
The project will be completed in three years and water will be supplied to every household, an official release said quoting Das.
Stating that the state government is making efforts to supply drinking water, Das said he had made a commitment to address the drinking water.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a 'Dakia Yojana' at Chhotasuraj Bera village and enrolled children in the Littipara block school under the 'School Challen, Challain Abhiyan', the release said.
Benches and desks at worth Rs 400 crore will be provided to 30,000 schools, he said adding, poverty in Santhal Pargana region will be eradicated through education.
Das said 18,000 teachers will be recruited soon and appealed the literate to spend one hour every Sunday at schools to teach children in their respective areas.
Stating that only development of villages will make the state and country developed, the Chief Minister said 3.8 lakh houses will be built under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana in the state.
