As per the handout issued by Superintending Engineer, Electricity M & RE Circle-I, Jammu, overloading of electrical infrastructure constraints the department to go in for distress power cuts.
Judicious use of air conditioners and other power consuming gadgets especially during morning and evening peaks, shall reduce overloading of the system, it added.
He has appealed to the public to make judicious use of power during summer months.
PDD is making all out efforts to provide regular power supply to the consumers but due to severe dry conditions and abnormal rise in temperature prevailing in the region, there is an unprecedented increase in load, he said.
He sought cooperation of the public which would to a long way in helping the department to deliver better services to the consumers.
