Jagadeesh was batting on 126 off 225 balls with the help of 13 fours and a six at stumps at the Palam A ground. Perumparambath Anthaf was giving him company on five.

Jagadeesh got little support from his batting colleagues as three of Kerala batsmen were out in single digit scores after they were asked to bat by Services.

He stitched 49 runs with Abhishek Hegde (24) for the opening wicket but wickets fell regularly after the latter's departure. The fifth wicket stand between Jagadeesh and Sachin Baby (18) took Kerala to 182 for five from 112 for four to end the day on a respectable total after facing 85 overs.

For Services, Suraj Yadav claimed two wickets for 52 runs while Shadab Nazar and Shakti Malviya took a wicket each.

Brief Scores:

Kerala 1st Innings: 192 for five in 85 overs (V A Jagadeesh 126 batting; Suraj Yadav 2/52).
