The company had posted a net profit of Rs 98.07 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Jagran Prakashan said in a BSE filing.
Total income during the quarter under review was almost flat at Rs 608.87 crore as against Rs 609.46 crore during the year-ago period.
Jagran Prakashan total expense was up 4.42 per cent to Rs 477.08 crore compared to Rs 456.87 crore.
Shares of the company closed 2.23 per cent down at Rs 173.15 on BSE.
