The popular three-day festival which exhibits the rich cultural heritage of the desert state will begin from February 8.
The festival will kick-off with a colourful procession from Gadsisar lake fort which will culminate at Shahid Poonam Singh stadium after passing through the main areas of the city, Jaisalmer District Collector Matadeen Sharma said.
Necessary directions for the preparation of the event have been given to officials, he said.
The festivalwill showcase interesting competitions such as MrDesertand Ms Moomal pageants, besides, moustaches, turban tying, tug of war, musical and cultural performances among others.
Folk artists will enthral the audience with their performances which will culminate at the sand dunes on February 10.
