A delegation led by Jamiat President Maulana Arshad Madni drew the SP leaders' attention towards the objection by the district administration over their plans to construct 100 houses in Muzaffarnagar for riot victims, sources said.
Jamiat wanted to construct houses for riot victims in Khampur and Basi villages, but the sub-divisional magistrate served a notice on them to stop the work.
The CM assured the delegation that he would look into the matter.
Communal clashes last month in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas claimed 62 lives and displaced over 40,000 people.
