The Fox drama has added four actors to the series and Jones is among them. It would be her first TV role after she wrapped up production on 'Mad Men'.
Jones will also be joined by comedian Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez and actress Cleopatra Coleman, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Produced by 20th Century Fox Television, 'The Last Man on Earth' was also created and written by Forte.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing the pilot.
Jones will play the role of Melissa.
