Japan was reborn as a dynamic country after the Second World War and it has now become one of the most prosperous countries in Asia, its Ambassador Takeshi Yagi has said.
The country has also been able to give its people a peaceful life recovering from the devastating war, Yagi said here yesterday at the inaugural ceremony of the 70th Anniversary of the 'Battale of Imphal' in 1944.
He said both Japan and India had been maintaining cordial relationship since the war.
Yagi had visited some of the war memorials in Manipur and expressed his appreciation for their good maintenance by the state government.
