Japanese Coast Guard ship in Kochi

Japanese Coast Guard ship 'Kojima' is in Kochi on a two-day visit as a part of its training programme.
During the period of stay, the Coast Guard personnel from both countries will interact to exchange views and methods in the field of anti-piracy, search and rescue operations and pollution response, a press release said.
The Japanese Coast Guard Ship, which arrived here yesterday, has 83 personnel, including 39 under trainee officers cadets.
The Commanding Officer of ship Captain Tetsushi Mitsuya had called on Deputy Inspector General TKS Chandran yesterday.
