Veteran Malayalam actor Jayaram, known for his versatility on screen, will be one of the guests at the closing ceremony of the 45th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here.
The 49-year-old 'Thuppakki' actor, who has an illustrious career of over 25 years in Mollywood, will be sharing the stage with celebrated Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar Wai, who would be bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement award on November 30.
"We have a long list of celebrities attending the event. The names are equally popular like those who come for the opening ceremony. We are yet to get a confirmation from the celebrities. Jayaram's presence is confirmed," Shankar Mohan, Director of Film Festival (DFF), told PTI.
Sources in IFFI said that the invitation to attend the closing ceremony has been given to Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, whose latest release 'Singham Returns' was shot majorly in Goa.
The opening ceremony was attended by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, Chinesese actress Zhang Ziyi, 'Gangs of Wasseypur' actor Manoj Bajpai among others last week.
The closing gala, to be hosted by Richa Chadha and Rajkummar Rao, will see Kar Wai's martial arts drama 'The Grandmaster' as the final movie of the 11-day film extravaganza.
The festival this year had screened brilliant national and international films including 'The President', 'Children of War', 'Dr Prakash Baba Amte- The Real Hero', 'Words With God', 'Gandhi', 'Finding Mr Right' and 'Kochadiiyaan'.
