JD(U) Kerala president M P Veerendra Kumar today met CPI(M) veteran and state Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan here.
Both leaders, however, said politics was not discussed at the meeting held at a guest house here.
"It was only a friendly visit," Veerendra Kumar told reporters, however, said that he would participate at the meeting against 'Communal Fascism' organised by CPI(M) here tomorrow.
It was part of the party's stand to make use of all platforms to oppose the communal agenda of the sangh parivar in the country, he added.
Achuthanandan was in the city after attending the marriage of state minister P K Jayalakshmi at nearby Wayanad district.
