JD(U) MLA Anant Singh chargesheeted in a murder case

Jailed Janata Dal(U) MLA in Bihar Anant Singh was today chargesheeted in a case relating to the murder of a person seven years ago.
The charge sheet against Singh, MLA from Mokama, was filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Bharat Singh.
Kotwali police had named the MLA as the eighth accused in the murder on the basis of call detail record (CDR) of his landline telephone on which he had allegedly conversed with sharp shooter Bhola Singh.
Bhola Singh was allegedly involved in the murder and was among the seven accused named by the victim's nephew Raja Parikhshit who was the main witness and complainant in the FIR lodged at Kotwali police station.
Sanjay Singh was gunned down by four assailants at the irrigation department office at Boring Road here on January 8, 2008.
The JD(U) MLA is incarcerated in Beur central jail in connection with several cases, including kidnapping of a builder from Bihta and Arms Act among others.
