The separatists have called for peaceful protests after the Friday prayers tomorrow against the decision of US President Donald Trump, recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
"The US decision to declare this sacred land (Jerusalem) as the capital of Israel points towards the political bankruptcy of the fascist Trump regime.
"Kashmiris across the valley will stage peaceful protests against the US decision after the Friday prayers tomorrow," the separatists, under the banner of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), said in a statement.
The JRL, comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik, said Jerusalem represented the religious emotions and aspirations of more than a billion Muslims across the globe.
"This is our Qibla-I-Awwal (the first direction of prayer) and no Muslim can ever accept it (Jerusalem) as the capital of the Zionist state of Israel.
"By taking this kind of irrational decisions, US President Donald Trump is actually showing his imprudent politics, fascist behaviour and enmity against Muslims," the statement said.
Terming the US decision "naive" and "dangerous" for international peace, the separatists said these unilateral and anti-Muslim decisions were bound to deteriorate and damage the already fragile peace and tranquillity of the world.
