Implementation of uniform counter closure timings, currently observed by Jet Airways and JetKonnect in the metro airports, is aimed at enhancing on-time performance in the domestic network, the airline said in a statement.
Guests using web or kiosk check-in will have to complete all baggage-related formalities, if any, before the counters close, it added. Earlier, the check-in time was one hour.
Maintaining a uniform counter closure across the network will enhance the airline's on-time performance and consistency on all its domestic flights, senior vice-president-commercial Gaurang Shetty said.
