Thieves entered the house of Vijay Kumar, Director PIB (Media and Communication), Patna office last night and stole jewellery worth Rs 8 lakh, police said.
The robbers bolted the locks of the doors in which the official and his family members were sleeping and decamped with the items.
Deputy Superintendent of Police M Ahmad visited the house of the PIB official with a team of forensic experts to investigate the matter.
