The Jharkhand government Tuesday announced Rs one lakh to an Anganwadi worker Sahia Manita, who was congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving timely treatment to a child saving its life.
The Prime Minister spoke directly to women working in Anganwadi of Jharkhand during a video conferencing session this morning, an official release said here.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Sahia Manita gave a new life by treating the child at the right time.
My greetings to all the women engaged in social service. With her passion and devotion, Manita has become an example for others. She will be given incentive amount of one lakh rupees from Jharkhand government, Das said.
