Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today offered prayer at a Surya Mandir in East Singhbhum district, an official release said.
Accompanied by thousands of kanwarias (Lord Shiva devotees), Das lifted holy water from Baridih bustee chat ghat.
He then walked around 1.5 km with the Kanwarias and offered holy water to Lord Shiva at the Surya Mandir at Sidgora on the occasion of the auspicious month of 'Shravan', it said.
Das prayed for prosperity and all round development of the state, the release added.
