Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today warned the Congress that if it did not change its "attitude" it would become "extinct".
"The Congress gave sorrow to the people through scams during its ten-year UPA rule. Now it continues to give sorrow to the people as an opposition party," Das said at a press conference here.
Recounting some its past actions like emergency, Das attacked the Congress for stalling the monsoon session of Parliament and claimed that the people had reduced the party to 40 seats in Lok Sabha and if it failed to change its "attitude" it would see only four seats in 2019 elections.
"Mahatma Gandhi had suggested winding up the Congress after Independence. And the Congress has reached that stage through its deeds," Das said.
He alleged that non-NDA political parties have only one agenda - to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his developmental initiatives.
"But the people are with Modi ji," he said, adding, the BJP activists would "unmask the misdeeds" of Congress.
