The Jharkhand State Housing Board (JSHB) is learnt to have served a notice to cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni, asking him why a "cut plot" allegedly illegally allotted adjacent to his originally allotted land should not be cancelled.
Dhoni, who had been allotted the plot by the state for his exemplary cricketing display in 2006, has been asked to reply within 15 days as to why the "illegally allotted cut plot" not be cancelled at his Harmu Housing Colony, according to Board sources today.
Dhoni, the current ODI skipper, reportedly got 5,002 square feet plot originally before getting another 4,780.8 square feet as "cut plot" adjacent to the original one, prompting the issuance of notice to him.
When Contacted, the JSHB Managing Director Dillip Kumar Jha refused to speak on the matter.
