Jigajinagi adopts village

BJP Lok Sabha member Ramesh Jigajinagi has adopted Makhanapur for its development as a model village under an initiative announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Launching a programme of taking stock of demands of villagers at Makhanapur, 20 km from here, he said in the next five years two more villages will be adopted for development.
He said the village will be developed as per demands of people. At the same time, he advised people to be alert about substandard works and report it to him if found.
He said it is a significant programme and dream of Prime Minister to develop model villages by MPs in country.
Deputy Commissioner C Randeep, who is the nodal officer for the model village scheme, said that in first phase he will prepare an action plan based on demands and submit it to MP. He will discuss and finalise it soon for implementation.
Zilla Panchayat CEO Shivkumar urged people of the village to cooperate in designing plan and avail benefit of this significant scheme.
