Jilted youth stabs college girl in Kerala

A 20-year-old girl student was seriously injured after she was allegedly stabbed by her neighbour, in a suspected case of spurned love, in Udayamperoor near here today, police said.
The incident occurred when the girl studying in a college in the neighbourhood, came out of her residence this afternoon, they said.
The girl has been admitted in a hospital in Ernakulam.
The accused Amal(25), has been taken into custody in this connection, police said adding they suspect that the rejection of marriage proposal could be the provocation for the youth to attack the girl with a sharp-edged weapon.
