"A well-conceived programme has been devised to upgrade basic amenities for people and the government is determined to ensure equitable development of all regions," the minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control said.
Healthcare, education, power and road connectivity are priority sectors and the state government is paying focused attention on these, Sharma told a public meeting at Muthi Maira in Akhnoor.
The minister directed the officers to complete on-going projects in Akhnoor within the stipulated time-frame and emphasised the need for making judicious use of funds.
He said various measures aimed at providing employment to educated youths have been taken in the last five-and-a-half years which are showing visible results.
