"SICOP has achieved a turnover of Rs 518.87 crore up to November 2017 against a target of Rs 755 crore during the financial year 2017-18," the spokesman said.
This was revealed at the 87th board of directors meeting of SICOP chaired by state Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga, here yesterday.
It was informed that annual turnover of the corporation in respect of marketing, raw material and other activities has also increased manifold.
Ganga directed the SICOP management to put in strenuous efforts to support the Small Scale Industrial (SSI) units of the state which is the primary activity of the corporation.
Emphasising upon the need to boost employment in SSI sector, Ganga directed management of SICOP to redouble their efforts to assist the SSI units in all the potential areas.
