Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today demanded "independent probe" into the communal disturbances in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency.
"We demand an independent enquiry into the disturbances so that the culprits and the rumours-mongers are brought to justice without delay," JKNPP supremo Prof Bhim Singh told reporters here.
Singh appealed to people to maintain communal harmony and social order to defeat the ugly designs of the evil forces who intend to disturb peace with ulterior motive to raise vote banks.
However, he questioned why Udhampur Parliamentary constituency has been chosen to disturb peace and harmony in the past two days.
