Available in SE Trim, the new variant is powered by a 2.0 litre petrol engine that delivers a power output of 177 kW.
The company already sells diesel variants of SUV in India since December 2016.
"The addition of the petrol derivative reinforces our commitment towards customers who aspire to drive this fabulous vehicle with a powerful petrol engine," Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd President Rohit Suri said in a statement.
In India, the Land Rover portfolio comprises Discovery Sport at a starting price of Rs 47.59 lakh, Range Rover Sport tagged at Rs 1.18 crore to the flagship Range Rover costing Rs 2.13 crore besides the Range Rover Evoque priced at a starting price of Rs 49.10 lakh (all prices ex- showroom, Delhi).
