Around 66 per cent of recruiters expect new jobs to be created in the second half of this calendar year and most opportunities are likely for people having work experience of 4-8 years, says Naukri Hiring Outlook Survey.
"The job market seems to be looking up in terms of creation of job opportunities in the second half of 2015," said Sumeet Singh, EVP - Marketing and Corporate Communications, Info Edge (India), which runs job portal Naukri.Com.
Sectorally, growth in hiring activity was led by BFSI and IT industries and is most likely to continue in favour of jobseekers, Singh said, adding that the rise in opportunities has led to higher increments in certain industry segments.
At an overall level, 68 per cent recruiters gave more than 10 per cent increments in 2015 which could possibly be led by the fact that the jobseekers are primarily being driven to change their job by the hike that they get in their salary.
Other than salary, factors like location and work-life balance were also cited as the main reasons for professionals changing jobs.
On talent crunch, the survey said that the maximum talent crunch was felt in the experience bracket of 4-8 years, followed by professionals with an experience of 1-3 years by 42 per cent and 28 per cent of recruiters, respectively.
Naukri Hiring Outlook is a half yearly survey which gauges the hiring sentiment across sectors and industries. The survey was conducted amongst more than 1,900 recruiters and consultants.
