Jobless youth tries to commit suicide in front of KCR's convoy

A youth tried to commit suicide by consuming insecticide in front of the convoy of the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in Karimnagar today, police said.
Deputy superintendent of police J Rama Rao said that P Gopi (24) from Edapalli village in Mahadevpur mandal had come here to submit an application to the District Collector seeking a job.
Chief Minister visited the collectorate to review the flood situation today.
As the CM's convoy arrived, Gopi ran across it and tried to drink an insecticide, said the DySP.
Police rushed and stopped him in the act. He was taken to Karimnagar District Hospital where he was said to be out of danger.
