The 39-year-old guitarist sang and grooved to the funky tune over a backing track. After playing the number, Mayer insisted the house "Run it back", reported Entertainment Weekly.
"Debut of 'Moving on and Getting Over' last night. Let's shoot a video for it. I wanna daaance," Mayer also tweeted, along with a fan video of the performance.
"Gravity" hitmaker's seventh studio album, 'The Search for Everything', is slated to release on January 20, which will be his first record since 2013's 'Paradise Valley'.
