Hollywood star Johnny Depp has reportedly signed on to play the role of a real-life criminal, James 'Whitey' Bulger in biopic 'Black Mass',
Bulger, a former FBI informant, who became FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. He was arrested in 2011 after 16 years on the run, reported Deadline.
Depp, 50, reportedly dropped out of 'Black Mass' last year as he apparently wanted to be paid more.
Tom Hardy is said to be in talks to play John Connolly, an FBI agent and childhood friend of Bulger's, who ended up in prison for alerting Bulger that he was about to be indicted.
