Jack Thorne is rewriting the script, which centers on a man (Gordon-Levitt) searching for his estranged wife and the crew of a space station after they have gone missing.
The previous draft of the screenplay was written by Geoff Tock and Gregory Weidman.
Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen are producing.
