Jharkhand People's Party (JPP) today vowed to oppose a non-tribal Chief Minister in Jharkhand as long as he would remain in saddle and asked the Sudesh Mahato-led AJSU Party, a coalition partner in the Raghuvar Das-headed government, to pull out.
Observing the 24th foundation day of the party here today, JPP President Surya Singh Besra said a non-tribal Chief Minister was unacceptable in a state, where 90 per cent population comprised of adivasis and moolvasis.
A non-tribal can never be a Jharkhandi, the son of the soil, he said demanding Mahato pull out of the government on this account.
"What made AJSU Party to support the state government headed by a non-tribal?", Besra wondered while citing the case of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference Chief Omar Abudullah, who didnot 'compromise' on Article 370 and non-Kashmiri Chief Minister issues during parleys with BJP.
