JU student drowns

A 19-year-old engineering student
of Jadavpur University drowned in the Hooghly after he fell down from the boat he was sharing with four friends on a boat cruise in the afternoon.
The police said Rounak Saha, a resident of Salt Lake and a second year student of computer science in the Jadavpur University, drowned at around 3.30 pm shortly after he got into the boat at Panighat.
His friends were safe, the police said adding that a search was on to locate the body.
