Juhi Chawla becomes brand ambassador for 'Sony Pal'

Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla has been named the brand ambassador for newly-launched Hindi entertainment channel, Sony Pal while her contemporary Raveena Tandon will be hosting a chat show on the same channel.
As per reports, Juhi pipped Lara Dutta and Raveena Tandon to become the face of the channel, formally launched today by the Multi Screen Media.
"I am happy to be associated with this new channel as the brand ambassador. The channel will showcase content which will empower women while preserving her responsibilities towards family," Juhi said.
Among nine different shows to be aired on the channel is the first-of-its-kind chat show 'Simply Baatein' with actress Raveena Tandon who will address issues under a collective umbrella of womanhood.

There will be a game show 'Dil Hai Chotasa Choti Si Asha' featuring women contestants and it will be hosted by popular TV actors Ragini Khanna and Jay Soni.
While 'Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi' is about a relationship between jija and sali (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), another show titled 'Singhasan Battisi' is a period drama based on king Vikramaditya, with 32 angel statues.
Among other shows are 'Khushiyon Ki Gullakh Aashi', 'Pia Basanti Re', 'Tum Sath Ho Jaab Apne', 'Sister Didi', 'Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hain'.
The channel is slated to go on air from September 1.
