Junior engineer killed in road accident

A junior engineer with the Mathura- Vrindavan Development Authority was killed and the driver of his vehicle injured in a mishap today on National Highway 2.
"The accident occurred when one of the front tyres of the jeep coming from Mathura suddenly burst.
"With the driver losing control, the jeep fell into a roadside ditch and finally rammed into an electric pole," a police spokesman said, adding that while JE (civil) Hargovind succumbed to his injuries, the condition of driver Mukesh is stable.
