Jyoti Basu's man friday for three decades passes away

Former West Bengal Chief Minister and communist patriarch Jyoti Basu's man friday for 33 years, Joy Krishna Ghosh, today passed away at a city hospital.
He was 69.
"He was suffering from cancer for the last few years. Today he passed away at a city hospital. He is survived by his wife and two daughters," a CPI(M) leader said.
Ghosh, who was the right-hand man of the legendary Marxist leader for three decades since 1977, the year Basu became chief minister, remained his closest aide till his last days.
Basu had handpicked Ghosh as his confidant.
