Tripathi, a 1989 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was yesterday named new Petroleum Secretary. He was holding the charge of Department of Public Enterprises.
"The competent authority has approved additional charge of the post of Secretary, DPE to Kapil Dev Tripathi for a period of three months with immediate effect or until further orders," an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) said.
Tourism Secretary Lalit K Panwar has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Culture. Panwar will hold the additional charge till the date on which Narendra Kumar Sinha assumes the post of Secretary, Ministry of Culture, or for a period of one month, whichever is earlier, it said.
