Tripathi will be the administered the oath of office tomorrow following resignation of Ram Nath Kovind after he was declared the NDA nominee for President's post, a Raj Bhawan official said.
Tripathi was received at the Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar Governor's Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sunil Pathak said.
The 82 year-old West Bengal Governor was given a welcome guard of honour by the state police jawans outside the Raj Bhawan precincts, he said adding, Kumar introduced his ministerial colleagues to the Bihar Governor-designate.
