K T S Tulsi takes oath as Rajya Sabha member

Noted lawyer K T S Tulsi today took oath as a member of Rajya Sabha by Vice-President Hamid Ansari, the Chairman of the House.
Tulsi was nominated to Rajya Sabha with effect from February 25, an official statement said.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Leader of Opposition in the Upper House, Arun Jaitley, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien and the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Rajeev Shukla, were also present on the occasion.
Tulsi was designated as a Senior Advocate in 1987 and appointed as the Additional Solicitor General of India in 1990.
