Bollywood filmmaker Kabir Khan says he has worked nonstop for the last two years and hence needs a break.
"I have done two films back-to-back 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Phantom'. I had not taken any break in between. I went from one to another. I was working nonstop for two and half years so I need a break. The break is important," Khan told reporters here at an event last evening.
"I write my own screenplay I need time to develop, I have two-three ideas and then decide which one I will work on as my next," the "Ek Tha Tiger" helmer said.
He was speaking at the sixth Jagran Film Festival here and he feels festivals are good opportunity to interact with people.
"It is good to have such kind of festivals where one can showcase their work. They are important as one can get to see different kind of films and there are interesting conversation and presentation," Khan said.
Meanwhile, ace choreographer-turned-director Prabhudeva was also present at the event and was elated to see veteran actor Shashi Kapoor.
"It is a great moment for us to see him (Shashi Kapoor) winning lifetime achievement award. I love him since childhood. I got opportunity to work with his son Kunal in "Singh is Bliing" it was great. First time I saw Shashi Kapoor sir," he said.
The leading lady Amy Jackson from Prabhudeva's recently released film "Singh is Bliing" too was present at the event.
"I think this festival highlights the greatness of Indian cinema I just witnessed that as Mr Shashi Kapoor won lifetime achievement award. It was wonderful to see him," Amy said.
"The festival travels to so many places and they show all kind of films which is great. It is great to push smaller and art and shirt and documentary films. There is lot of talent in India," she added.
