Kalaunji and turmeric prices declined Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 11,800-15,800 and Rs 6,500-11,100 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks pulled down kalaunji and turmeric prices.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 690-840, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,340-1,370 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg)1,440-1,540.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 710-760, cardamom (colour robin) 690-750, cardamom bold 740-760, cardamom extra (bold) 910-960 and cloves 820-870.
