Kanchi Mutt donates Rs 10 lakh for flood-hit J-K

Sri Kanchi Mutt here donated Rs 10 lakh today to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for relief operations in flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior members from the Mutt presented the amount today in New Delhi, a press release said.
Contributions from Tamil Nadu have been pouring in for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund, with Chief Minister Jayalalithaa having announced Rs five crore, followed by DMK with Rs 25 lakh, and BJP allies in the state DMDK and MDMK, announcing Rs 10 lakh each.
DMDK MLAs have also decided to give one-month's salary to the relief fund.
