West, 39, performed last year at the event, which the 28-year-old songtress attended along with co-organizer Emily Eavis.
The "Hello" hitmaker told the cheering crowd, "I have dreaded ever being asked to do this festival - not that I thought I would ever be asked to do it."
"I have never been so frightened of a crowd that I saw last year. As I was watching it I was like, 'Alright, alright, I'll try," she added.
In the past the Oscar-winning singer has talked about being anxious while taking to the stage.
