In a statement here, he referred to demands of PMK founder leader Dr S Ramadoss and Tamil Maanila Congress chief G K Vasan that Jayalalithaa should lead an all-party delegation to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and seek his intervention in getting the state's share of Cauvery water from Karnataka.
Citing the demand, he sarcastically said "She may have gone to Kodanadu to ponder over this, to inspect a location there for a meeting of leaders of all parties, hence an announcement may come soon."
He also claimed that she was praising AIADMK founder and late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran as the Assembly elections (to be held early next year) "draw closer."
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly DMDK leader Vijayakanth had also criticised Jayalalithaa recently for not meeting her Karnataka counterpart to get adequate Cauvery water for the state.
Earlier this month, Tamil Nadu Government filed an urgent plea in the Supreme Court seeking directions to Karnataka to release 45.327 tmc ft of Cauvery water, citing inadequate storage in the Mettur Dam to meet the irrigation demands during October-January.
