The Irdai Grievance Call Centre (IGCC) Services has been envisaged to be a "true alternate channel" for the insured public consumers by offering comprehensive tele- functionalities (both manual and IVR) to all insurance consumer segments in multiple languages and integrating channels.
Based on the commercial bid evaluation of the proposals of shortlisted bidders, Karvy Data Management Services had emerged as the lowest evaluated responsive tender (L1-Bidder), to handle the IGCC Services, Irdai said today.
"Accordingly, Karvy Data Management Services has been awarded the contract for handling the Irdai Grievance Call Centre Services for five years to the total cost of Rs 4,36,80,000 (excl. Taxes)," it said.
Irdai plans to upgrade its grievance redressal machinery to expeditiously attend to complaints.
