Kate McKinnon in talks for Danny Boyle's new comedy

Actor Kate McKinnon is in negotiations to star in Danny Boyle's new comedy film.

The film's script has been penned by "Notting Hill" scribe Richard Curtis and the musically themed movie is said to be set in the 1960s or 70s, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Baby Driver" star Lily James is aboard the project and is playing one of the main leads.

The project will be produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce alongside Matt Wilkinson and Bernie Bellew.

Both Boyle and Curtis are also going to produce the project.
