Describing the fresh incident of terror attack in Rajbagh area of Kathua district as indicative of Pakistan's "continued infatuation with terrorists", BJP today condemned the attack in strong words.
"The fresh incident of terror attack in Rajbagh area of Kathua district is indicative of Pakistan's continued infatuation with terrorists. It is most unfortunate and the party condemns it in strong words," state chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi told reporters here.
Sethi said such attack has again given blow to the peace process with the neighboring country and sent very wrong signals across the people of the country, especially when the Central government has been putting its best efforts to bring peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.
He added that all such elements should understand that these incidents not only go to further harden the public opinion against any rapprochement with Pakistan but also strengthen the resolve of the country to treat Pakistan as an untrustworthy neighbour, thereby ensure Pakistan's continued isolation in the international community.
Sethi further said that such incident makes one to think whether areas not affected by Pak-inspired gun culture like Kathua are needed to be kept out of preview of disturbed area provisions.
Declaring that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre will adopt a strong stand on occurrence of such incident, Sethi said the anti-India forces, within and outside India should understand it well that the Narendra Modi government will not be cowed down by such dastardly acts nor will tolerate any such attacks.
