Former 'Today' show Katie Couric has denied reports suggesting that she was in talks to return to TV network NBC.
Couric, 58, was reported negotiating her return to the Peacock network after her former boss and mentor Andrew Lack was brought back to head the news division, reported the New York Post.
"Katie has a longstanding friendship with Andy and has great respect for him and her former NBC colleagues. She wishes them all great success going forward, but she remains excited and focused on working with her team at Yahoo on her many interviews and projects," her representative said.
Couric was reported to either take over "Nightly News" after Brian Williams' scandal or return to the "Today" morning show to replace Savannah Guthrie.
The rumour was quickly dismissed both by NBC News and Couric, who currently works for Yahoo.
