Kavita, who hails from a small tribal-dominated village Savar Pada near here, told reporters that she did not consider her failure to qualify for the London Games as defeat.
She said that she did her best but did not get adequate time to practise in Italy.
She said that she has started practising for the World Athletics Championship to be held in Moscow in 2013 and Asian Games in Korea in 2014 at Bhosla military grounds here.
Kavita had won a silver and a bronze in the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi and Asian Games in China.
Kavita, along with Preeja Sreedharan, failed to make the cut for London after they abandoned the 10,000m qualifying event at the FIDAL Piedmont Track Meeting at Santhia, Italy.
