Keira Knightley, who surprised by opting for an old dress to get married instead of picking up a designer gown, says her beloved dress is now splattered with red wine.
The 28-year-old actress married husband James Righton in a Chanel dress that she had owned for sometime but is not troubled that she might not be able to wear it again, reported the Telegraph.
"It's now got red wine spilled down the front because the last time I wore it my friend (knocked my arm) and now it's everywhere. I didn't quite realize the extent of it until I got home. It's quite impressively splattered.
"But, hey, a good night is a good night and when a dress has had its time, maybe it's had its time. I'm pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can't, I'm happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed," Knightley said.
The actress was photographed wearing the prom princess dress on a number of occasions before and after her marriage and Knightley says she opted to marry in the outfit because it carried good memories.
"I'd worn the dress lots. It was my something old. And I liked not making a big deal about it. I just wanted to be in something I had had a great time in, something I would have a great time in again," explained Knightley, who is the face of Chanel.
Another favourite item that the star can be spotted sporting in dungarees as she finds them super comfortable since childhood. Knightley said she owns three pairs of dungarees.
