The sequel of 'Ride Along' reunites director Tim Story with stars Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, who play detectives who get paired together on a pursuit of criminals, according to Hollywood Reporter.
'Ride Along 2' will reportedly bring the characters to Miami for a new adventure.
Jeong has signed up to play a woman-crazy computer hacker who becomes invaluable to the criminal case at the centre of the film.
The actor is well-known for playing psychotic Spanish teacher Ben Chang in 'Community', and will also soon star in a medical comedy project for NBC.
